I really feel I was missing out by not getting a good watch before, i've even been using the google assistant a lot more cause the watch makes it way easier to access. Shortcuts to my phone apps are great.

I bought this cause my old watch broke, and I also work in a steel fab shop, so I needed something that wouldn't get scratched or break from power tools, or cleaning the machinery I operate. I've had it for a week now, and it got one scratch on the first day, since i dropped a steel die on my arm by accident. The scratch is hardly noticeable though. Handles terribly around any liquids, but it's got a "water mode" that locks the screen, and when turned off, it plays a sounds that pushes water out the speaker. Speaker is very quiet, and the silicon band sucks. Otherwise, great

I have avoided a smart watch for years and finally decided to give up the fight and get one. I hate the look of the square Apple watches and mostly think they are over-priced and faddish. I wanted something that would give me the look of a traditional watch and after watching a ton of reviews on YouTube, I decided on the Galaxy Watch 4

I just updated from an Active that I was using as a fancy pedometer, sleep stats and phone call notification. It died and I was forced to purchase something else, I was looking at a 4, but purchased this 5 on Prime Day for actually cheaper than a 4. I love it, obviously screen and OS is greatly improved. The sleep stats seemed to have possibly improved? It was recording me as light sleep and awake and no deep sleep each night and this shows I'm getting some deep sleep and more sleep overall and it now includes a snore detection. You can answer calls on this with the speaker and microphone unlike the Active. So far I'm really liking it. Came new in the box with the purple watch band (which I just changed to another band before taking pics) quick start guide and charger. Battery is lasting a little longer than the Active, but I still charge once a day.

I've had another brand for years (FitBit) and have really enjoyed the health side of those devices. I have also used several from Garmin and they have a niche (I have a golf watch and one for outdoors, maybe more GPS..). Either way - I ran into charging issues after several years and thought about a change. I recently upgraded to a Samsung S23 and have the Samsung Buds 2 Pro, so it kind of made sense to tie the watch into the mix as everything was meant to work together.

Nervous to take the plunge from an old Fitbit band, but the deal price was astounding for prime day.
